Free webinar: Covering immigration and knowing your rights
Given the rapid-fire changes in immigration enforcement and the Trump administration's mass deportation program, more journalists than ever are covering and interacting with immigration law. Jennifer Nelson, senior attorney at the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press, will walk you through navigating legal issues that may arise during the course of that coverage, while also explaining some of the tools that the press and the public can use to monitor the government’s actions.
This webinar is part of "Protecting the facts," IRE's latest training series focused on defending press freedoms and journalist safety.
This webinar is free for IRE members, but please be sure to register. All those who register will receive an email with the Zoom link the morning of the event.
