Description

This panel will focus on how nonprofit news organizations, who do not typically play in the breaking news cycle, can better draw attention to their content. Using trending tools to leverage topics and terms that are hot at the moment; how to better employ the social-graph to activate readers and get people talking about stories; and how to use technologies to enable other media outlets to grab stories through such items as embeddable widgets and syndication tools. Also included will be best practices for leveraging Google, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and other top social tools to better reach and cultivate an audience.
