Learn how to leave no stone unturned when backgrounding and researching. Barbara Gray and Margot Williams will teach you the mindsets, methods, and means of investigative news researchers. This class will cover:

  • Knowing where to start - map out your research
  • Advanced web and open-source techniques
  • How to find anyone with a cocktail of free and fee-based tools
  • Unraveling excessively complicated and complex issues and systems designed to defy elucidation
  • Sources beyond the web
  • Organizing, documenting, and archiving your results
  • Creative solutions when you're stuck

Preregistration is required. Seating is limited. By signing up for this class, you waive your ability to attend other sessions presented during this timeframe.
