Our initial story examined ethylene oxide pollution coming from two medical sterilization plants in suburban Atlanta, Georgia, how government officials worked behind the scenes to keep that knowledge from the public, and how state officials that are supposed to be protecting the environment worked with industry and without public scrutiny.
