In this session, panelists will share reporting techniques and records for investigating hospital care. You will learn how to access de-identified hospital patient billing data and other documents to unearth warning signs of substandard medical care at hospitals. You also will learn how to navigate little-known records that are specific to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, which operates more than 1,200 hospitals and clinics across the country. Tips will be shared for finding patients, families and health care providers.
