A first-of-its-kind analysis found that nearly 100,000 reverse mortgage loans made in the wake of the recession have failed, blindsiding seniors and their families. Urban African American neighborhoods are among the hardest hit. Those foreclosures drag down property values in their neighborhoods, in places like Chicago, Baltimore, Miami, Detroit and Philadelphia.
