Description

The Virginia Pilot-Ledger Star, in an article examining the rights of the mentally disabled, profiles one mentally retarded woman who claims and believes that she was sexually assaulted. No-one was convicted of a crime because the Commonwealth of Virginia's attorney felt that the case lacked the necessary elements that would have made a conviction possible. The article provides a look at the law concerning the protection of mentally disabled adults, Nov. 15, 1994.
