The Albuquerque Tribune investigated a state housing agency; found instances of insider trading, conflict of interest and that it was a clearinghouse for distressed property owned by people with political connections. The result - the agency was shut down, a $49 million bond deal was canceled, the Attorney General's office is conducting criminal and civil investigations and the paper was sued for libel, August - November 1994.
