Description

The New York Times takes a look at how OSHA officials say UPS pushes its workers too hard, contending the company exposes workers to injury by requiring them to lift too much weight or perform too many repetitive motions. After inspecting some of UPS's operations in recent years, they have said the company may need to slow the pace or reshape its operations to reduce injuries. The UPS injury rate has been consistently higher than those of the trucking and delivery industries as a whole. (Dec. 17, 1995)
