A new medical fad suggests that shark cartilage can stop the affects of and even cure cancer. The medical community will not endorse the claim until extensive research has been conducted. Meanwhile entrepreneurs are making a lot of money by packaging and selling shark cartilage products to desperate cancer patients and sharks are being slaughtered at an alarming rate. (April 1996)
