The Maine Times investigates the preparedness of the state of Maine for a mass evacuation should a nuclear catastrophe occur at one of Maine's nuclear plants. While officials within the Maine Emergency Management Agency profess complete confidence in safety procedures, in recent drills the agency has failed miserably to enact a speedy, successful exodus from high-risk areas.
