Disbarred lawyers are getting second lives in their profession after being expelled from the bar for stealing from clients, robbing banks, obstructing justice and other serious crimes and misconduct. In a seven-month investigation, The National Law Journal found that for the majority of disbarred lawyers who reapply, the profession's ultimate punishment is little more than a professional respite.
