Description

It's a time honored ritual; a sports star signing bats, balls and more for kids young and old. But today that simple act has become a billion dollar a year industry with superstars now making big money for their signatures. And as KSTP discovered, so are the con-artists with phony autographs and collectibles. KSTP found that several stores in the area were selling "authentic collectors items," that both forensic experts and the sports stars themselves said were fakes. (February 28, 1996)
