CBS reported on the existence of a radical new method of harvesting human organs -- a method implemented at various hospitals without peer review, without any public discussion, without a written policy, without even informing families of how they planned to harvest these organs. CBS found that some of the drugs used in removing organs could hasten death, and in some cases patients may not have been dead at the time their organs were removed.
