Toledo, Ohio, city government is pursuing eminent domain litigation against residents and businesses in order to force them out of their neighborhood. The city wants to give the land to DaimlerChrysler for expansion of its Jeep auto plant to induce the company into keeping its operations in Toledo. This is in addition to a $300 million subsidy package negotiated with the company in 1997.
