The Burlington Free Press reports that "Towns that spend more to educate their children don't necessarily reap the benefits of better student performance... The Free Press study -- which looked at the standardized test scores for hundreds of fourth, sixth and eighth-grade classes -- found spending differences and performance on standardized test to be virtually unrelated."
