WAGA-TV reports that "military recruiters often intimidate, mislead and outright lie to young recruits who sign up for the military, but later exercise their right to change their minds. ... we heard about the same type of threats over and over: we can take your scholarship away, we can put a black mark on your credit, you'll never get a job, you will be dishonorably discharged, the sheriff is going to arrest you and you're going to jail. The common theme in those threats came as no surprise to two veteran Navy recruiters who told us those same lies have been used for decades. They told us recruiters use threats to intimidate young Americans who don't know their legal rights..."
