A Dateline investigation of gift shops revealed that some toy figurines sold in America are covered with domestic dog or cat fur. "We discovered the toys were made in China, and that a loophole in the US Customs law allowed their importation. We found that some US importers knew the items were made with cat or dog fur, and sough to hide that fact from the public."
