Description

The Inquirer's five-part series examines urban sprawl in eight Pennsylvania counties, and reports that "the demand for bigger houses on spacious lots has led to record profits for home builders...spawned strip malls and traffic jams, polluted streams and played havoc with wildlife habitats." The paper also reports that the development is being "clocked locally at an acre an hour."
