Using a variety of records, including grant applications, contracts, emails and checks, Stith investigated a nonprofit organization that was using its state funding to "build our relationship between North Carolina and Israel ..." This group used public money for trips to Israel. Stith also found that this nonprofit is heavily backed by politicians and is the subject of a federal inquiry.
