"In 1994, a Savannah cop was killed. In 1998, another Savannah cop began illegally investigating his death. Several months later, he was dead. He and his lover, another officer, were found shot to death in a mall parking lot. Although police said it was a murder/suicide, the widow believed it was related to her husband's investigation into the death of his friend. The series investigated the circumstances of all three deaths, the activities of the police department in a possible cover-up and the incarceration of a man cleared by a jury of the 1994 death."
