"Paper Shield takes a look at an ugly but important subject: domestic violence and the legal procedure some victim use to get help. Protection from abuse orders are awarded by the court to men or women who say they are being abused or threatened. A PFA requires the defendant to stay away from the plaintiff. We learned a system of failing many of those who look for help, court authorities bound by regulations and unsure of how to make them better, and men and women caught in the never-ending cycle of abuse."
