The investigative team at WWMT-TV got their start after receiving a tip from an electronics repairman that some of West Michigan's largest and best know electronics repair shops were charging customers for unnecessary parts and labor. To put this to the test, WWMT-TV went undercover with a hidden camera to several repairshops with a rigged television and VCR. The investigative team found many discrepancies in prices between the various repair, and very little reasoning behind it.
