Description

KSTP-TV examines the current popularity of refractive eye surgery, otherwise known as Lasik. The elective surgery is relatively fast, and can provide great results, but KSTP wondered if it was completely safe, and if patients know all the risks before going into surgery. Using a hidden camera, reporters followed around several people considering Lasik surgery as they went to consultations throughout the Twin Cities. They found glaring differences between how clinic's screened their patients, charged their patients and how they informed them of the risks.
