Description

Newsday provides a snapshot of the Sept. 11 victims through "an analysis of nearly 2,650 people whose full names and hometowns have been identified. The newspaper has been building a database of information regarding those confirmed dead or missing since the terrorist attacks." The Newsday analysis found that "most of the dead were men. Most were relatively young. And the largest number of the victims were from New York City and suburban New Jersey." The Jan. 29 story updates the progress being made in identifying all of the bodies.
