An analysis of disbarred lawyers over time shows that more than half of all lawyers who have their law licenses repossessed and reapply win reinstatement. The practice is hardly an anomaly, instead happening for the majority of lawyers who are disbarred. The second story reveals practices of secrecy that hide lawyers' reinstatement proceedings from the public.
