Description

In this article, the Courant examines the relationship between flaws in the process of education doctors, and preventable medical errors. The investigation reveals that a handful of major medical schools produce a disproportionate share of the nation's troubled doctors. Furthermore, the report found, nearly 900 graduates of suspect medical schools in the Carribean were banned in some states but practised in most others. A key problematic factor noted in many cases was a slippery grasp of basic medical knowledge.
