After nearly two decades in Florida's Legislature in both the House and Senate, including two years as Senate president, Ken Pruitt sought out and was elected to a much lower profile post of St. Lucie County property appraiser. After launching an investigation into him, the newspaper uncovered several things that raised questions and public awareness, which ultimately may lead to further investigation and him not running for re-election.
