Description

Philadelphia magazine examines the Institutes for the Achievement of Human Potential, a treatment center for brain-damaged children that uses a treatment it calls "patterning" to retrain damaged brains; the treatment is unproven but has been used to raise millions of dollars and a lot of hope while apparently doing little good for the children; leaders of the institutes are connected with the Church of Scientology, April 1982.
