You would think New York City -- with some of the top-ranked hospitals in the world -- would beat the nation when it comes to medical care for delivering babies. Look again. A deep dive by four CUNY Newmark journalism students shows that is not the case. Expectant mothers are more likely to face severe complications when they deliver their babies in New York City than is typical in the United States.
