Description

USA TODAY’s series exposed how top U.S. colleges and universities fail to live up to the landmark law banning sex discrimination in education 50 years after it passed. Title IX opened the door for women to play college sports. It promised them equal treatment to their male counterparts, equitable opportunities to compete, and their fair share of athletic scholarship money. Instead, the reporting found,, many schools continue to discriminate against female athletes and manipulate their numbers to hide it with little to no consequence.
