In this third installment, Criminal Justice Journalists’ president Ted Gest, with the help of Daniel Lathrop, assistant professor at University of Iowa’s School of Journalism and Mass Communication, guide reporters on where to find databases of crime statistics, how to analyze and use various them, and how to write a crime stats story. Also included are hundreds of resources that anyone, from novice to pro, will find useful.
