"Impact" is a documentary exposing one of Michigan's darkest secrets...how the state tried to wipe out entire families by forcibly sterilizing thousands of men, women, and children. WXYZ-TV began their investigation focusing on three brothers, who despite having no mental problems were institutionalized, labeled feeble minded, and eventually sterilized by the state. In the end, WXYZ-TV found they were simply victims of a far-reaching program of misguided government and bad science.
