Summary Hot Springs (Ark.) Sentinel-Record takes an in-depth look at the failures of the State Medical Examiner's office. The investigation found that the internal organs of the examined were routinely incinerated, without notifying the relatives of the deceased and eliminating any possibility for further examination if the bodies were later exhumed. Non-medical examiners performed the autopsies and the office often failed to detect murders.
