Still need help after consulting these FAQs? Email logistics@ire.org for assistance.
How do I register for NICAR24?

First, make sure you have a current IRE membership through April 1, 2024. You can do that by logging into your account on the website and going to Manage Memberships in your Member Dashboard.

  • If you have a current membership, you will see a green ‘Yes’ in the Active column.
  • If your membership has expired, click the ‘Subscribe’ button to go through the renewal process. (Note: If your membership expired before Dec. 1, 2020, you will not be able to log in to the website. Please create a new account on our website by filling out the Join form.)
  • If you have never been an IRE member, please apply from the Join page.

Next, go to the conference ticket page. The correct price for your membership level will show up in the ‘Get Tickets’ block. Click ‘Add to cart’ and follow the steps to check out.

What precautions is IRE taking due to COVID-19?

IRE takes the health and safety of all attendees at its events seriously and follows the guidelines of CDC, state/local health authorities and the conference venue.

All NICAR attendees must be vaccinated against COVID-19. Masks aren’t required unless you receive a religious or medical vaccination exemption, but IRE encourages all attendees to use masks indoors to protect themselves and those around them. For more information and details, go here

How do I make a reservation at the conference hotel in the discounted room block?

The conference is taking place at Baltimore Marriott Waterfront. IRE has secured a discounted block of rooms. The room rate is $214 per night plus tax. This block is available until Monday, February 5, 2024 or until the block is full (whichever occurs first). If you need to cancel your reservation, you must do so 72 hours prior to your arrival to avoid any cancellation fees. A link to make reservations will be available in October. If I am interested in having a meeting/event during NICAR24 what are the next steps?

If you are interested in having an event or meeting during NICAR24, please reach out to logistics@ire.org to discuss options available based on availability during the time and date you are looking for along with any associated costs. IRE does ask that events do not overlap with educational programming.

Please keep in mind that no outside food or drink can be brought into meeting space per hotel contracts.

Will NICAR24 have a virtual option?

NICAR24 will not include virtual sessions. Our goal is to provide the best possible experience and we have found, based on attendee feedback, that a hybrid event does not meet the highest level of standards that IRE members have come to expect. We instead have significantly bolstered our affordable and accessible virtual training opportunities scheduled throughout the year, including the all-virtual Access Fest conference in the fall of 2023. We’d love to hear from you on what else you’d like to see. Fill this form out any time you have an idea for an event.

What is IRE Access Fest?

Access Fest is an expansion of the DBEI Symposiums that were held in October of 2021 and 2022. We'll offer programming focused on diversity, belonging, equity and inclusion, and provide trainings that you would see at a typical IRE or NICAR Conference. Access Fest will be held in October 2023 - details coming soon!
