Albuquerque Tribune series reveals rampant conflicts of interests in the New Mexico state legislature. An investigation found that 72 percent of all campaign funds come from special interests, whose favored bills are much more likely to pass and lobbyists and lawmakers fail to report contributions properly. The series uses computer analysis to determine that the batting averages of special-interest businesses are higher.
