You’ll learn how to level-up your data analysis in Google Sheets and visualize your findings in Datawrapper, a free online data visualization program. We’ll cover the full data storytelling lifecycle: obtaining, cleaning, analyzing and visualizing data. Along the way, we’ll talk about best practices for data viz and practice editing our own graphics as well as those produced by our classmates.

Learn how you can use the Python programming language to scrape data from the web. In this advanced online mini-bootcamp, we’ll cover: Using built-in browser tools to target page elements for extraction; setting up a Python project with a virtual environment, using Jupyter notebooks and installing various scraping and parsing libraries; strategies for navigating various kinds of web pages, from simple (static HTML) to advanced (paginated databases, server-rendered content, restrictive cookies, etc.); writing your scraped data to file; and scraping best practices.
