The conference will be held at the New Orleans Marriott. The discounted room rate is available until Monday, February 3, 2020, or until our room block is full (whichever comes first). Our room block has sold out prior to the deadline the past few years, so make your reservation early.

The room rate is $209 (single/double) per night plus tax (currently 16.20% plus additional $3.00 per room, per night occupancy tax). This block is available until Monday, February 3, 2020 (*block has been extended until Tuesday, February 11, 2020) or until the block is full. If you need to cancel your reservation, you must do so by 72 hours prior to arrival to avoid any cancellation fees.

A Room With A View (overflow hotel booking assistance)
The New Orleans Marriott is now sold out in the discounted NICAR room block. Please contact A Room With A View for information on the official designated NICAR overflow hotels. They will secure the lowest available rates at the best available hotels within walking distance to the New Orleans Marriott. Reservations processed by A Room With A View are automatically on a waitlist for rooms at the New Orleans Marriott should cancellations occur within the group block at the discounted group rate (as they are available).

This is a free service for all NICAR attendees. Please note – If you have a reservation at the New Orleans Marriott and you need to completely cancel it (not modify it), do not call the hotel directly. Call A Room With A View to cancel it at 1-800-780-4343. By calling A Room With A View, they’ll be able to give your room to another attendee wishing to stay at the host hotel.
New Orleans International Airport (MSY) is about 15 miles from our conference hotel (30-40 minutes).
Uber and Lyft are available at the airport with dedicated pick-up locations. Taxi service is also available. Taxi service will run between $35-40 for 1-2 people.
Thank you to Airport Shuttle New Orleans for providing a discount to NICAR20 attendees. To receive the discount, reservations must be done online and booked at least 24 hours prior to arrival. Reservations can be made here. A map with additional information for location/pickup information can be found here.
**We understand that some attendees received an email from MSY Shuttle, another airport transportation company. This was not authorized or promoted by IRE and we have asked this company to remove the information related to the NICAR conference.
Parking in downtown New Orleans is limited, more information on parking can be found on the New Orleans Convention and Visitors Bureau page.
The hotel has limited on-site valet parking, no self parking is offered. Parking is limited to one vehicle per room. Parking is $45 per day, plus tax. Parking charges are subject to change without notice. IRE is not able to reimburse parking costs or provide a discount.
