If I am interested in having a meeting/event during IRE23 what are the next steps?

If you are interested in having an event or meeting during IRE23, please reach out to Stephanie Klimstra, Director of Events at stephanie@ire.org. She can discuss options available based on availability during the time and date you are looking for along with any associated costs. IRE does ask that events do not overlap with educational programming.

Please keep in mind that no outside food or drink can be brought into meeting space per hotel contracts.

What precautions is IRE taking due to COVID-19?

IRE takes the health and safety of all attendees at its events seriously and follows the guidelines of CDC, state/local health authorities and the conference venue.

All NICAR attendees must be vaccinated against COVID-19.

  • To request a medical or religious exemption from the vaccination requirement, please complete this confidential form. IRE has the sole discretion to approve or not approve this request.
  • All those who receive an exemption must wear a mask at the event.

If an attendee, speaker or IRE staff do not meet these requirements, they will not be allowed to attend the event.

At this time, neither Florida nor Orlando nor the Renaissance Marriott, our conference hotel, require masks, but IRE recommends that attendees wear masks to protect themselves and others.

Masks are required if you have received a medical or religious exemption as noted above.

CDC notes people properly wearing a well-fitting mask protect themselves and those around them, and that wearing a well-fitting mask is most beneficial in crowded and poorly ventilated locations. IRE is encouraging attendees to use masks indoors.

We ask anyone feeling ill or showing any symptoms of COVID-19 to not attend. If you are unable to participate for a COVID-19-related reason, please let us know immediately and we will work with you on your registration.

If you become ill during the conference, we ask that you isolate yourself. If you want to do a COVID test, IRE staff will work with you to find one.

IRE will continue to monitor CDC guidelines and any state/local ordinances. We will update attendees if there are any changes in protocols.

Will IRE23 will have a virtual option?

IRE23 will not include virtual sessions. Our goal is to provide the best possible experience and we have found, based on attendee feedback, that a hybrid event does not meet the highest level of standards that IRE members have come to expect. We instead have significantly bolstered our affordable and accessible virtual training opportunities scheduled throughout the year, including the all-virtual AccessFest conference taking place October 12-14, 2023. We’d love to hear from you about what else you’d like to see. Fill this form out any time you have an idea for an event.

What is IRE AccessFest?

AccessFest is an expansion of the DBEI Symposiums that were held in October of 2021 and 2022. We'll offer programming focused on diversity, belonging, equity and inclusion, and provide training options that you would see at a typical IRE or NICAR Conference. AccessFest will be held October 12-14, 2023 - additional details coming soon!
