Register for IRE22

IRE’s annual investigative journalism conference will take place virtually and in person in Denver, Colorado, June 23-26, 2022. The conference attracts more than 1,000 data-oriented journalists from around the world at all career levels, featuring 200-plus thought-provoking panels, hands-on workshops and intriguing discussions led by experts in their fields as well as plenty of opportunities to network with colleagues. You're sure to leave with new energy and great story ideas. There's still time to register!

Additional bylaw changes

The IRE Board of Directors will consider a bylaws change regarding the Endowment Committee at a meeting on June 23, to be held at 2 p.m. MDT in person at the IRE22 conference in Denver. As required, this notice gives members at least 30 days to comment on the proposal. To attend the meeting virtually, click here to register.
This change is in addition to the proposed changes regarding the Executive Committee — posted here — to be considered at the June 1 board meeting.

2022 elections

The IRE Board of Directors will meet at 2 p.m. EDT June 1 via Zoom. The agenda includes proposed bylaws changes — posted here — an update on the new Ring of Honor and an executive session on annual evaluation of personnel, among other items. To attend the meeting virtually, click here to register.
For the 2022 elections, 7 of the board's 13 seats and 2 Contest Committee seats will be on the ballot. Voting is online and begins June 7, ending June 25.

Ring of Honor

IRE announces the IRE Ring of Honor, a new fundraising initiative celebrating members who have made a significant contribution to the organization and to investigative journalism. Nominations to the Ring of Honor can be made in tribute to current or retired IRE members or in memoriam to deceased members.
