IRE board  hears updates

The IRE Board of Directors met Friday, Nov. 4, via Zoom. Minutes of the meeting will be posted under the minutes section located under the Board of Directors page on the IRE website by Nov. 11. The board approved adding two longform contest categories for audio and video and heard updates from the Conference, Diversity and Training committees, among other items.

Register for NICAR 2023

NICAR will be back in Nashville this spring after 26 years. We can’t wait to see y’all on March 2-5, 2023! Registration is now open and professional members can register at the early-bird rate of $299 until January 9. Student members can register at any time for $100. We’ll be at the Renaissance Nashville Hotel — book your stay now before the discounted block fills up.

Call for entries: 2022 Philip Meyer Award

The Philip Meyer Journalism Award recognizes excellent journalism done using social science research methods. At least one person from the applicant's team needs to be a current IRE member. The deadline to enter is November 11, 2022, 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time.
